The Rev. Caleb McGregor, Pastor

Pastor Caleb is an Ordained Elder in Full Connection within The United Methodist Church.  He grew up in Mount Carmel in southern Illinois and attended Eastern Illinois University for piano performance and music composition.  After answering the call to ordained ministry, he attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois, and, in 2016, received his Master in Divinity degree with a concentration in Congregational Leadership.  He was ordained an Elder in 2019 by Bishop Frank J. Beard of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.  Pastor Caleb believes in the centrality of grace, mercy, and love at the heart of Jesus’ ministry, and that each person is loved, can love, and is loveable.  We mature as disciples by the love of the Holy Trinity.

He is a brother in the Order of Saint Luke, a group of primarily United Methodist clergy and laity seeking the sacramental and liturgical life through personal spiritual formation guided by the Rule of Life and Service.

He is a Reconciling Pastor and has vowed to grow inclusivity and affirmation in all the areas of his life and ministry, including his congregation.  His office is a safe and brave space.

Pastor Caleb has been serving at Port Edwards UMC since July 2021 and is in his 11th year of ministry.

He married The Rev. D. Clement in October of 2023.

Connie Cross,
Administrative Assistant

I am from the Central Wisconsin area and currently live in Wisconsin Rapids.  I have been retired for 5 years.  I am divorced and have lived with my boyfriend for 9 years.  I have a 33-year-old son who is on the Autism Spectrum.   I spend time with him when I can, to help him out with things that he has trouble doing by himself and teach him daily living skills.  I also help my friend, who is mostly homebound, with grocery shopping and helping around her house.

I have one sibling who lives in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Our parents have both passed.

I have an associate degree as a Network Specialist and a certificate in Customer Service – Office Technology.  I also tutored college students in Microsoft Office at Mid-State Technical College from 2004 to 2014 while I was a student.  I help my friends and family with computer support.  I have worked as an administrative assistant and secretary for over 40 years in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Texas when I was in basic training in the U.S. Army.

In my spare time I enjoy sketching, scanning pictures onto my computer, reading about technology, altering clothing, canning, fishing, gardening, and cooking.  I also enjoy working on my family tree.  I started it over 40 years ago.
