“An Intro. to the LGBTQ+ Community” – Reconciling Event #1 of 4

Description: This is an intro. to the LGBTQ+ community where we will discuss who exactly makes us the community, common ideas and theories related to the community, LGBTQ+ terms to know, and some examples of the ways in which individuals and groups can work to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people. There will be a time for a Q&A session following the presentation. A glossary of the terms used in the presentation will also be available for anyone who wants one.
About Coriann: My research interests include rural LGBTQ+ population health, the interaction between stigma and health, harm reduction methods for sexually transmitted infections, and substance use disorders. I received my Master of Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health, with a concentration in the epidemiology of microbial diseases. I am also an experienced and ASCP-certified medical laboratory scientist.
