Administrative Committees
Board of Trustees
Oversee, maintain, and supervise all property owned by the church, including the church building, grounds, and parsonage.
Endowment
Perpetuate the ministry of the church by building an asset base large enough to ensure its financial stability. Accept gifts or not according to specified criteria as well as consider requests for use of funds.
Finance
Develop a yearly budget for the church, track monthly income and expenditures to appropriately manage funds, then provide yearly audit.
Gallery
Disperse yearly interest from monies originally donated by Dorothy Gallery to support youth and missions.
Nominating
Select individuals who will be leaders in the church. This requires helping members discern their skills and level of commitment, identifying leadership and service opportunities, and matching people with those opportunities.
Staff-Parish Relations
Supports local church employees through compensation, appropriate vacation time, work environment, perform annual clergy evaluation, prepare and submit personnel budget, and works with pastor and trustees to maintain parsonage.
Stewardship
Encourage financial commitment from the congregation year-round to reach out to members, to the local community, to those in need locally, nationally, and worldwide, as well as support for our church programs and property.
United Methodist Women
It is the purpose of United Methodist Women to be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
Will and Memorials
Record gifts to the church and the wishes of those giving the gifts, as well as send acknowledgment cards to the gift-givers. Consider and grant requests for use of funds.
Worship
Plan worship services with the pastor by coordinating the theme of the liturgy with music, decorations, and additional spiritual and social elements.
Program Committees
Education
Provides Sunday School and Vacation Bible School opportunities for children K4 through 6th grade and plan children’s special programs at Christmas and other holidays.
Missions
Organize work trips to help those in need and select six worthwhile missions for the congregation to support with both money and time for two months each throughout the year.
Nurture
Develop, promote, and publicize opportunities and activities within our outreach church that provide social, informational, and supportive outlets.
Outreach
To be a liaison between our church and community by advertising in local venues. We plan and organize our mission giving and provide volunteers to social organizations that support people in our area. These include Meals on Wheels, South Wood County Pantry Shelf (SWEPS), The Family Center, Hope’s Door, Stuff the Bus project, and Fun Fest Ice Cream Social.
